I like to approach connecting with plant spirits from:  1. a mediumistic and 2. metaphorical perspective.

1. Tune into your breath, your heart and your own personal energy. Imagine your Breath forming a bundle of energy, a bud, at the center of your abdomen.  With each breath the bud continues to grow.  It begins to extend out from your abdomen and out from your energy body.  It begins to unfurl its outer layers, and as it blooms, it encapsulates your energy within it.  You are within a flower. Then begin the metaphorical exploration—

2. Consider the theme of FLOWERS, FRUITS, and SEEDS.

Consider the theme of flowers, the reproductive organ of a plant. The cultivation of a flower begins within a bud, growing and then unfolding, dropping its outer protective sheath to reveal the interior of itself. Feel yourself interacting with pollinating insects and wind. Imagine the awareness that the other plants you are reproducing with are in a different physical locations, unable to meet you directly. And yet you are sharing a deeply in a cycle of rebirth. Be curious about your resonance with fruit and/or seed. A fruit is most effective in its aim when it is consumed by another, it offers nourishment to another while its seed is carried and deposited in exchange. Other seeds drop or are carried by the wind. We often celebrate the flower and are sad when it wilts, even disgusted at times by the decay. And yet, the purpose of a flower is the reproducing of the plant. The flower is not meant to last. Really, what in life is meant to last indefinitely?  Consider your own life cycle.
Remember to allow the plant you connected with to guide you, what does this being wish for you to know and understand about flowers, fruits, and seeds?

Let the energy of the plant you’ve connected with help show you what lessons may be most beneficial for you.

When you’re done, consider doing some journaling. What did you learn? How does this relate to your life? When might it be beneficial to remember the experience of being flowers, fruits, or seeds? Are there any messages from the spirit you connected with that you wish to record?

Make an offering of thanks, use your intuition to determine what that is.
